Is it possible to modify Orion.Accounts through the API?

I see a CreateAccount verb on Orion.Accounts, but I'd like to modify some properties of an existing user account.  I have the correct SWIS URI (get-swisobject works) but trying to use set-swisobject returns "Operation not support on Orion.Accounts".  Does that mean accounts cannot be modified via the API?  Is there any other way to programmatically make changes to user accounts?
